During the summer between the first and second year of the program, all students complete a required, ten-week internship that provides direct administrative experience in a health care organization.
Program staff helps students prepare their resumes, identify resources, network, and identify and negotiate internship possibilities. This process, combined with the actual internship experience, assists students in focusing their interests, aiding them in the selection of future coursework and assessing career opportunities as well helping them develop practical skills for their job search.
